UPDATE: Now we know why our hits are down...Calamity explains it HERE.... Wow...Guess for every Jack, there is a Calamity...

We came up with a new button for The Couch...

If you would like to include it on your sidebar (It is sized to 200px wide) - be our guest. We would love some linky-love from our most fabulous guests....

AND...even cooler...If you would like to send me a photo of yourself sitting on a couch or chair, we will then put you into the button and make it completely personalized for your site...

Just think...You...The Couch...and Bond...just sitting and chilling...

So, grab the button as it is (by grabbing the code below), or shoot us an email with your picture and in a couple of days you have yours back.

Thought we would share this with all y'all...We are psyched for this year...Have a feeling we will be in the Blues Tent as much as we are outside and moving around more than last year...

Off to do the Radio Happy back in a while with some more words of incredible importance... bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahaaaaaaaaaa

phew...that was one long show....had fun with Dennis Hof from the Bunny Ranch...never paid for sex...well other than dinners and shows and HEY....JOKE TIME....everyone relax...

But we do think it should be legalized everywhere to monitor and test and license the women OR men who want to work as a prostitute.

Just saying...

Gonna grab a song for you that we have not shared...One of the artists that will be appearing this year at the Beale Street Music Festival...

Keb' Mo'...Much more on Keb soon...but for today a couple of teases...

From the album Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues: Keb Mo', this is "Crapped Out Again" and then from a live performance with THE DAVE MATTHEWS BAND on a song called "Angel"...

29 Of Your Sparks

  1. Wish I could be joining you in May for the music festival. Sounds UNFREAKIN'BELIEVABLE.

And, don't think women don't "pay" for sex, too, you know...

Grabbed my button. I'll have to see about getting you to make a personalized one.

  2. Schmoop Says:
  3. A personalized Couch Button. Clever. Cheers Vinny!!

  4. Calamity Says:
  5. Get ready: you've been reviewed.

  6. Julie Says:
  7. Oh Vinny....very neat idea! I'll get a picture to soon as I can find someone to take my pic.

  8. SONGBIRD: It should be fun....Thanks for grabbing and placing the button

    MATT-MAN: Thanks Matt

CALAMITY: I guess your saying I am a "older guy" hurt the most...
To each their own dear..I asked, you responded...

    JULIE: TY my friend...

  9. I read the review. And as much as I love you, they're right about the sidebars. I've always thought so, but since I read the content and skip the sidebar perusal, it only bothers me if your blog won't load quickly.

But, hey, it's your blog and whatever works for you will work for us, right?

  10. SONGBIRD: I have been working on a new overall look...and the sidebars will be cleaner...Guess the fact that she did not like the overall content of The Couch was disappointing...maybe I am old and stale

  11. Now that is a pretty impressive lineup for the Beale Street festival this year. I may be headed that way as well.

Don't worry abou that review. I'm convinced those sites write stuff like that for shock value and controversy. You do your blog the way you want to.

  12. The Teamster Says:
  13. hey vinny...

is there motorcycle parking on the couch?

and isn't "angel" a hiatt or raitt song? I need a little history lesson

you sure come up with great the keb mo song too.

when are you going to start distributing "best of" cd's?

  14. RWA: PLEASE let me know if you are coming this way...would be nice to meet...THANKS on the words...the sidebar stuff she does have a point...but not "knowing who I am" sheesh...that one got me

TEAMSTER: Motorcycles are always welcome dude...
Actually - the song is Angel From Montgomery" and is a John Prine song, done by Raitt, Tanya Tucker, Susan Tedeschi as well As the DMB... OOOOO a "Best Of The Couch" CD...Now that is an idea! LOL

  15. You're not old and stale, darlin'. You're "of an age" and those of us who are over the age of...well, you know, we can appreciate your intellect and humor.

    Don't change.

  16. SONGBIRD: TY my friend...just weird how she did not get it and Jack did...and if you read the last few days, I would think you would see who I am...but OH well... I asked to be reviewed and i got reviewed..

  17. katherine. Says:
  18. I second Mateo....the personalized button is way clever....I have a sneaking feeling I'm gonna be taking pictures of a motorcyle rider for the couch.

    I read the review....and commented...

  19. i have cake today bond if you want some!

    smiles, bee

  20. KATHERINE: Thanks ...hope I get a motorcycle picture to add...and TY for your words on the review...I appreciate your thoughts

BEE: I already had some and it was yummy

  21. Coco Says:
  22. Hey Vinny. i read the Grim Reaper's review, too. Don't you think that the cartoon Reaper is indicative of the kind of reviews you can expect from such a site? And for the record, I think the review is dead wrong. I have always enjoyed your blog (well, maybe not so much the sports things) and I think you are a brilliant writer. Frankly, I really don't care what reviewers say, anyway. I prefer to make my own decisions in life. One person's opinion ... pfffft. And that's all I have to say about that. Hugs you, my friend.

  23. COCO: Thanks darlin'...I appreciate the support...they had some good points...they had some things to say i did not agree with...they have their own opinion..and YEAH, the grim reaper should have been a clue

  24. Kb Says:
  25. Bond Baby,
You and your couch are perched on my MySpace. :)

  26. Tug Says:
  27. I guess the way I look at the reviews is all reviewers are different, as are our readers. Some love us & keep coming back, some don't. We're all human.

  28. KB: Will check it out later when I can see it (IT nazis here block facebook) THANKS

    TUG: Yup yup...all true...

  29. AtriaBooks Says:
  30. I found the review humorous but then again I'm a mean and nasty sonova-watch my mouth!

  31. Anonymous Says:
  32. I´ll send a photo as soon as Frank´s back from London, just b/c I HAVE to sit on the couch with you! Whenever I snap a pic of myself the legs are missing *LOL*. The huge pregnancy belly might be a reason =)

Stay the way you are Vinny! You ROCK!

  33. Travis Cody Says:
  34. Your hits aren't down because of that review. Your hits are down because they are down, and they'll go back up because they go back up.

You blog for you. You write about things that are important to you. That's what a personal blog is.

I've never heard of that review site or those people, and I don't give a $hit what they think of The Couch.

I like you. I like what you write here. I've never had any trouble finding something on this site.

So that's my 2 cents, adjusted for recession.

  35. DOC: You are NOT the spawn of my loins..stop telling people that!

SANNI: Can not wait my friend....LOL on the 'missing your legs'

TRAVIS: You know how much I appreciate your words...They had a couple of points about the layout....about the words - to each their own
    Thanks for always being here

  36. Anonymous Says:
  37. but Daaaaaad??

  38. Oh Vinny, you asked can't life be in the aging? and you're absolutely right...Can I change mine to say that? Were you thinking of using that? If not I want it! :D

  39. PS, I'll give you credit!

  40. DOC: No no no no no...go to your room

TEACH: It is yours...LOL credit or no credit...

  41. Unknown Says:
  42. Ooh...a button! What does this button do?
