Thursday Tidbits...

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Thursday, July 30, 2009

Our good friend STARRLIGHT of "Here Comes A Storm In The Form Of A Girl" had this on her site yesterday and it is totally brilliant and quintessentially Shatner. Appearing on the Conan O'Brien Show.

It also gives me pause...could this truly have been a beautiful poem?
Could she have truly been giving a poetry reading and we all missed it??
Have we totally misunderstood this woman???

NAH!

Got to spend the afternoon with Nancy as we took care of some "need2does" for this Saturday that is coming up in a few (5) weeks. We really got a ton done and also met with the caterer at the hall.

She is going to do an incredible job. We both like her 'vision' of the room. There are some great pieces of furniture as the gentleman who owns the building used to run an antique store in the location. She is going to incorporate them well.

It was nice to leave the office and smile and laugh the afternoon away.

HEY! Brett Farve has said he is retired....

Would love to see my Yankees face TRAVIS' of "Trav's Thoughts" LA Dodgers in the World Series this year. Dodgers have hit a little skid this past week, but they have, so far this season, been the cream of the major leagues. The Yankees have been en fuego since the All-Star break and are sitting in first at the moment.

That is the thing I love about baseball...it is not a sprint, it is 162 games.

So, William Shatner put a smile on my face, being with nancy makes me happy, the caterer made me happy and my Yankees are making me happy..

YUP - POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!

Remember, tomorrow is POSITIVE DAY...EVERYONE JOIN IN!

Well, this is Positively Fourth Street" from the Live At The Keystone album with Merl Saunders, Jerry Garcia, John Kahn & Bill Vitt

  8. DIANNE: He can be for sure...SO far so good...

    BUD: Really was a hoot

  10. The Dodgers were looking pretty good until they ran into MY Cardinals. Now the Cards have taken three straight from them and the Dodgers look like maybe they're just padding their record playing against crummy NL West teams.

I'm very annoyed at the rest of the NL, BTW. How come nobody stepped up and stopped the Phillies from getting their grubby little hands on Cliff Lee? Somebody else should have jumped in there and at least made that a more expensive deal for Philly.

  16. So glad you got to get away & have fun!! I'm still trying to catch up after a week with kids, but I'll get there. Still reading, just not commenting much yet.

  17. Travis Says:
  18. Not for nothing, but...

Dodgers vs NL East = 13-8
Dodgers vs NL Central = 11-10
Dodgers vs NL West = 30-12
    Dodgers vs AL = 9-9

    Hmmmm...looks pretty good to me.

I can also report that SF is 14-10 and Colorado is 14-8 against the NL Central. The Giants and Rockies are 7.5 and 8 games behind LA in the NL West.

Oh yeah...SF and Colorado are 1 and 2 in the NL Wild Card standings as of yesterday.
