This is from Jerry Della Valle, who we featured a few months back:
If you happen to live in LA or Hawaii- I'm coming for you this week baby.

On Monday June 29, I'll be at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. Address is: 1623 1/2 North Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood. I play at 10:30pm.

Then, lucky me will be playing a few shows/ parties during the 4th of July weekend in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Not sure of the specifics- so if you live in Hawaii and want to come- shoot me a message on
my Facebook page and I'll get you the details.

Brooklyn based alternative/pop/rock ensemble MGMT are set to directly support Sir Paul McCartney for two special shows at Boston’s Fenway Park on August 5th and 6th. News of McCartney’s admiration for MGMT broke in early June.

Tickets for this special show go on sale to the public beginning Monday June 29, 2009 at 10a.m. EST at www.livenation.com, at the Orpheum Theatre Box Office or by calling (800) 514-3849. Tickets are not available for purchase at Fenway Park.

MGMT recently performed at The 2009 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. Their 2am set on the morning of Saturday June 13th had press heralding their performance as the highlight of the festival. Spin.com playfully declared “Sorry, Mr. Springsteen and Mr. Anastasio: MGMT were headlining Bonnaroo -- and everybody knew it.”

MGMT are also set to headline a sold-out show in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on Wednesday July 1. The band will also perform at the All Points West Music and Arts Festival at Liberty State Park in New Jersey on Sunday August 2.

I really have fallen for these guys. I am listening to them more and more...

"I and Love and You" is the title track and first single from the Avett Brothers forthcoming album due out on Columbia on Sept. 29th, 2009.

It's Here!!
After years in the making (OK months) at a cost of millions (OK, it cost nothing) with a cast of hundreds (yeah, well, it's just me)...

My new music video "We're All Gonna Be There (When She Dies)" is now up on YouTube.

So don't just sit there. Click HERE, watch the video then give it a 5 star rating and leave a glowing comment. Simple!

Thanks.
It is a wonderful song, check it out.

  3. BeckEye Says:
  4. I dig MGMT, but a friend of mine saw them live and said they sucked. Hmm. Maybe they were having an off night. Or maybe he was.

  5. ...the video production is killer, but the message blows: NOBODY'S dyin', Jack....

  6. Bond Says:
  7. NUMBR13: Welcome Back!

BECKEYE: Have not seen them...but I think Sir Paul has decent taste

PHFRANKIE: Wow...took that one to heart now didn't you?

  8. As long as someone is willing to shed their blood, vote their conscience instead of their allegiance, as long as someone is willing to raise a voice in protest or in support, there won't be any dying. Not on my watch, anyway.

  9. Fred Says:
  10. I thought the video was well done. I'd buy it. Well, heck, maybe I should buy it.

  11. Bond Says:
  12. SONGBIRD: Agreed...and I think that is the point of the song

    FRED: Very powerful indeed.

  13. Trent Reznor has been highly complimentary of Mew on Twitter.

I am interested to check out their work. Thanks for the links.

  14. Micky-T Says:
  15. I'm soooooo glad I stoped here and listened to "Swept Away"....it swept me away from a busy life that is so full and demanding right now!
