Tuesday Tidbits...

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Tuesday, February 09, 2010

Congrats to the New Orleans Saints and their win on Sunday. It was a great game with a lot of back and forth until a dropped pass and then an interception to seal the fate of the Indianapolis Colts.

Peyton Manning is one heck of a QB and I figure he and Drew Brees might just meet up in the big one again within the next few years.

The commercials really have lost many of their luster, They are not a part of the event for me any longer...they are just what they are commercials.

The theme this year seemed to be that you can rag on men all you want. It felt like half the commercials made men to be idjits.

Woke up Monday morning with almost 6" of snow on the ground. It was not expected at all and began at 4:00am and was over by 7:00am. Roads were pretty bad so I stayed home and worked from here.

Began to rain in the afternoon and as I write this it seems that it will rain until the temps drop and then we will get more ice and snow, so might be working from here tomorrow also.

This is the first winter where it is like winter since I moved down here. I can do without it to be honest. I also realized I do not own a snow shovel so clearing the driveway was impossible. Have to make a note to buy one of those - and then it will not snow ever again!

I hope it went well last evening on MUSIC ON THE COUCH and to those of you who listened live and spent time in the chat room - I thank you greatly. As I am putting this post together 4 hours before show time, I am guessing it went well! LOL

12 Of Your Sparks

  1. Unknown Says:
  2. I didn't get a chance to see the game since I was working. It's actually been kind of weird, I've been seeing the game for the aftereffects...selling the Saints stuff after the game, it's been crazy.

  3. Schmoop Says:
  4. YOur show went just fine Vin. Good Job. Cheers!!

  5. Jay Says:
  6. Great show last night Vinny! Great job with the interview dude.

  7. Travis Cody Says:
  8. I enjoyed the show and the music. Mr Putnam had some great insights, not only into his own music and ideas, but into music in general. He was a great first guest.

Isn't it great to have a job that lets you work from home? Last winter we had too many snow days, and this winter we haven't had any.

  9. LAC Says:
  10. This was the first year that I can remember when I didn't even bother watching the game or the commercials. I used to love the commercials, more than the game sometimes. Especially since my college days when we were given Advertising class assignments based on the commercials.

  11. Ken Says:
  12. Hope your show went well. It'd be a chore for me to stay up and listen. I'd have to start drinking beer when I usually stop drinking beer. I couldn't even stay awake to watch the game, which was a great game ehh?

  13. JOHN: Make the sales! Earn money

    MATT-MAN: Thank you Sir

    JAY: Appreciate it very much

TRAVIS: He did add much to my questions - Working from home can also be a pain with kids running in and out! LOL

SHUTTERBUG: I think you have more on your plate right now!

MICKEY-T: Check out the archives Sir...for when you are working, you can listen to me!~

  14. I'm sorry your weather has been sucky. I'm glad, though, that you stayed home safe and sound. Take care if you go out on the roads!

The show did INDEED go well! I think a good time was had by all. Looking forward to next week's.

  15. SONGBIRD: Oh I do take care...an worry more about my 'fellow' divers than myself. Thanks
And thank you for being there...glad you enjoyed and think you were the first one on the free music offer from Phil.

  16. FIRST?! Yippee! At least something related to me was first for a change....*wry grin*

  17. SONGBIRD: Silly wabbit...you are very special and not in a short bus kind of way!

  18. Dana Says:
  19. Living in Chicago, a snow shovel is usually silly - a snow blower is more appropriate. When I moved into the apartment I was thrilled at the prospect of not having to own either, however I've discovered that a snow shovel is a good idea unless I want to wait two days for the sidewalks to be cleared.
