Thursday Thoughts

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Thursday, April 29, 2010

Crazy day at work with meetings consuming most of my day.

Luckily, I was able to check Facebook a couple of times and was able to see that my friend Liz wanted me to change my status message - so I did.

Then I changed it again...just to be different.

Well, I finally grabbed up the URL for Music On The Couch. I am planning some changes here and on my other blogs...yes, even Mangia Y'all! Just some cosmetic touch-ups...trying to make this, my main site, a bit move navigable...I tried for, but I was told it was taken, and then I go to see by whom and HECK-A-DOODLE it looks to be a domain not taken...OH WELL...

I promised my friend REAL LIVE LESBIAN I would do a post about music for her blog, so I am working on a not too overwhelming TUNEAGE TUTELAGE to post there next week. I know DANA from "Amid Life's Crisis" is posting there on Tuesdays, so I will probably post it over there on Wednesday or Thursday.

I have never done a guest post before...that I can remember.

Time to begin thinking about your Peace Globe. Have you celebrated with us before? If not, why not make 2010 your year!!

Don't think you have the 'artistic talent'? First off, it is the sentiment of your globe, this is not a beauty pageant, it is a celebration calling for a more peaceful world. Who doesn't want that?

But if you feel you can not create something to show, there are those of us who will help you put your Globe together. TRAVIS from "Trav's Thoughts" has aided many over the years. I will assist and put together your Globe...

And there are others. You can find many of them by just looking for the Peace Globe Worker Bee Badge...

So, I know you are all dying to hear about my Fantasy baseball...right? right? Well, in a nutshell, with Team 1 the Memphis Blues of the Scuffle of the Sandlot Sages League I am in 4th place, 5 games back of the leader. I had a poor showing last week - before that I was tied for 1st place.

With Team 2, the Yankee Bondage of the Sandlot Sage Medieval Crusade League, I am in 6th place only 4 games back of the leader, so in striking distance. This is a cool league because each team is built on 14 players from one major league team. Of course I chose the Yankees.

Then there is the 2010 ABL Fantasy Baseball League, my Memphis Bluez are in very LAST place! I was totally confuzzeled about the scoring in this league for the first two weeks and got decimated. Last week was just a tiny a** kicking...this week, so far it is competitive. I made a truck load of switches, dropping players and picking up free agents.

It keeps me interested in the entire major leagues and not just my Yankees.

  2. It's meant for changing lol

You and I are in about the same spot in Scuffle of the Sandlot Sages. I think I spanked your butt last week in the Crusade though.

    Go SAWX!

  4. I forgot to say

  6. I do have my Peace Globe picked out. Now I just have to find the right verses.

  7. Travis Cody Says:
  8. I'm not much for fantasy sports. I just can't seem to get over the immature inability to root for players or teams I don't like to do well.

I mean know how much trouble I have rooting for my very own Dodgers with that idiot on the team.

  9. ...three words: San Francisco Giants...

  10. Jay Says:
  11. There doesn't seem to be too much I can do with my fantasy team. I'm on my 5th different starting center fielder and only have one regular everyday player consistently putting up any numbers. And I know he can't keep it up all season. He's just been hot. I do have two really great pitchers. The rest are hit and miss.

  12. Dana Says:
  13. You can have my Tuesday if you'd like! I think I hit kind of a taboo subject on her blog last week. They might need a break from me!

  14. There is more to the MLB than the Yankees. I've been told. ;)

I'm not thinking much beyond May 26th at this point. Don't even get me to contemplate November. Not going there yet.

  15. Gledwood Says:
  16. Hey I noticed a remark from a Siberian husky who claims to support some sports team called the Dodgers... well are they really that crap they have to rely on DOGS to support 'em? No wonder they're going down the pan..!!

  18. Looks like a great lineup for tomorrow night's show. I'll be there!
