A BIRTHDAY & Tuesday Topics

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Tuesday, June 01, 2010

Thanks everyone for your kind words about the reupholstering of The Couch.

Hope everyone had a safe Memorial Day and took a few minutes sometime during the day to remember why we celebrate.

I am off to Minnesota today for a press approval, not returning until Friday. This should be my last big trip for the year, so that is good and bad. Good because traveling can be a pain...bad because I do enjoy the perks of the points for air and hotels!

Nancy and I will be going up to the NY area in August for the wedding of my best friend's son. I was with Andy the night Brian was born, so it follows that I should be there when he marries.

We are also scheduled to do a weekend in Atlanta with a group of people whom we have never met live so that should be fun. Now, i we can figure out how to afford them, we will be all set! LOL

Our weekend consisted of 2 baseball games on Saturday and one on Sunday. Then we went across the street to our neighbors and had some brews and ribs. It was the first time we had gotten to spend time with them and we enjoyed it greatly.

Monday...well...it is still early in the day, so not really sure, but there is talk about a members only event at the Zoo tonight from 6pm-9pm.

As it was Memorial Day, there was not a MUSIC ON THE COUCH show this week.

Next Monday night is all about the ladies, with appearances by Kat Danser, from Edmonton, Canada who has a direct pipeline to the Mississippi Delta and the band Lily Sparks, a rocking band fronted by three smokin' women.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and we will sit and talk tomorrow.

Sounds like you had the ideal Memorial Day weekend and like you've got some nice trips coming up soon, too. Not that August is my favorite time to be in New York as the humidity can sometimes be a real stinker but hopefully you'll get some nice weather for the wedding of your best friend's son.

Have a good time in Minnesota!

Atlanta will be a blast, IF I can get my ducks all in a row. I'm still working on that.
