Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Monday, June 07, 2010

Well, I am home and taking the day off, so I will finally have a chance to visit your blogs. Well, I think I am home. I am actually writing this on Saturday from the hotel as I wait for the call to go back to the plant for another all-nighter.

I hope you have a chance to join me this evening on MUSIC ON THE COUCH this evening, as I have some special guests. It is LADIES NIGHT on the Couch with Kat Danser who is the "Queen Of The Swamp Blues". From Edmonton, Alberta, Ms. Danser is an incredible artist with a talent for both lyrics and music.

Then we rock out with the Ladies of Lily Sparks will join me on The Couch to discuss their music and how, in the space of about a year and a half they’ve gone from playing a couple of acoustic shows in bars to playing the main stage at Webster Hall.

This band is right up there with Heart, Pat Benatar, and Chrissy Hynde in terms of the ability to blow the roof off the joint. Real soon you will tell your friends you heard them first on The Couch.

Was saddened to hear of the passing of the legend, John Wooden. The man was an incredible human being.

Did you know he has written a love letter to his wife Nell, who died in 1985, every month for the last 25 years?

Now THAT is a true story of love and devotion.

  2. Coach Wooden was an extraordinary individual, all the more so because he refused to behave as if he were anything special.

  4. I'll have my social secretary pencil you in on tonight's schedule. I should be able to tune in after dinner with the President and before I hit the clubs with a couple of Victoria's Secret super models. ;)
