Thursday Tidbits....

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Thursday, September 09, 2010

What is it about this whacked out world we live in.

Churches planning on burning the Koran this Saturday to honor that day? Come on, give me a f'ing break will ya?

Yes, I know there were Muslim involved in the murder that day. I was freakin' there that day. In a city that was attacked. Watching people fleeing on foot and in panic. Seeing people covered in soot coming uptown from the place of destruction.

Are all Muslim bad evil people? Not at all. Did the (corrected from "there" in the original post) murderers use the words in their Koren to justify what they did? Sure. But didn't the Roman Catholic Church send soldiers out on Crusades to kill and maim?

The hatred that has grown in this country over the last 10 years must stop. If it does not, we will all be in for a very scary, horrible future.

So one of the things Nancy and I have talked about is, at some point in the future, buying an RV and just seeing this incredible country of ours (and the one to our North at the same time).

This is the first one that came up when I was playing this weekend...

13 Of Your Sparks

  1. Did there murderers use the words in their Koren to justify what they did?

Vinny, Vinny, Vinny....tsk, tsk.....should I mention that you should have used the word THEIR rather than there before murderers? Um....yeah....;)

Beyond that, I agree; I don't understand from where this vitriol emanates. I don't like, and I don't understand it.

And about the RV, well.....maybe if I write that bestseller. :)

  2. DrillerAA09 Says:
  3. Yep, I've considered the RV thing. However, I would probably spend more time in the police station filling out accident reports than actually enjoying the ride. I would have the added cost of a driver, and that's probably another $25k even if you only lease the driver three or four times a year. It would be fun though.

  4. Ken Says:
  5. My cousin is selling one of those. She recently lost her husband and told me she can't handle the coach so will sell it. They have lived aboard this coach for years. It's in the northwest, should I inquire?

  6. ...the funny thing is, if there was no TeeVee or internet or even newspapers no one would even know what this wing nut, tin hat, bat shit crazy idiot was up to. My point is: this kind of stuff, as you pointed out, has been going on since the dawn of time. Some things are best ignored...focus on the positive. Buy an RV!!...

  7. SONGBIRD: The unpaid, highly overrated, totally mind numbing job of my editor has been awarded to YOU!

DRILLER: I am thinking I can handle the driving duties...going to test the theory out with a rental as some point soon

MICKEY: Maybe if it were 3-4 years from now, I would say do it...but it is still too early.

PHFRANKIE: Very true Sir...which is why I did not put his name in not want to give the a**hat any publicity.

  8. SONGBIRD: Actually the word that I wanted to use was THE not THERE or THEIR----fixed.

  9. Dianne Says:
  10. I chose not to post about him either Vinny
    it's just so disgusting

    anyhoo ;)

    I love the RV idea
I have always wanted to drive cross country

  11. Jay Says:
  12. Of course now all the cable "news" channels are all camped out in front of this nut bag's "church" and he's getting all the attention he ever dreamed of.

My plan (dream) is to win the lottery and buy, not an RV, but a sweet van w/ cool amenities and travel all over the country. It would be amazing to do that. And to meet all my blog buddies. And it would make for an interesting blog.

  13. Jeff B Says:
  14. As you already know, I posted about Mr dingwad. This cycle of hatred feeding hatred is so damaging to our country. I think it escapes many.

  15. Travis Cody Says:
  16. I thought I posted my comment this morning, but I guess I didn't. Hmmmm.

Don't forget to thoroughly shop the previously owned market for coaches. You can get some excellent deals on RVs that are still in terrific shape.

  17. CiCi Says:
  18. We did chuck it all and came to NE. I hope you and Nancy get to see the country and Canada in a wonderful safe and reliable RV or motor home while you are young to participate fully in the adventure.

  19. Oh yeah the RV thing is a goal. Not a dream, a goal. Permanent road trip sounds so very awesome.

  20. Mimi Lenox Says:
  21. It is YOU. I can see the two of you doing that. Do check out the used ones. I think it would be an incredible adventure. Go for it.

I refuse to comment on the dingbat man.
