Monday and a new week begins

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Monday, November 01, 2010

Well, this weekend was spent in bed and not in a good way. An upper respiratory infection has kept me under the covers and then my laptop ran out of juice (no power cable at home), so most of my time has been spent using my phone...

Feeling a bit better today and need to be at work tomorrow (Monday), so I am staying in bed again.

Being sick caused me not to not be able to participate in my favorite holiday - Halloween - no scaring the poop out of teens who came to our home (well, as it is only 11am, not sure we will get any one here, but even if they scaring this year...

I also missed my buddy TRAVIS from "Trav's Thoughts" Five on Friday last week. Sorry about that bud...maybe I will do a double post this week!

Nancy left on a trip for business Sunday and will be back either Wednesday or Thursday...stay safe my love.

I am thinking about going dark here for the month of December...still have not decided yet, but I think I may need a break and maybe that will make people miss me more! bwahahahahahahahahahahaha

Are you ready for BLOGBLAST FOR PEACE? It is this Thursday and it is growing each day. You can check it all out by visiting the BlogBlast information over at the ounder of BlogBlast For Peace MIMI of "Mimi Writes" and this year we also have a big presence on FaceBook at THIS PAGE

Join us...spread the word!

Tonight I have two great guests for MUSIC ON THE COUCH

Nancy Apple is a Memphis native who leans more toward country-rock than blues. She has an incredible voice and is an advocate for many causes. We will hear music from her latest album SHINE.

Then from Seattle comes the band Handful Of Luvin' and their "fiddle driven rock" sound. These guys caught my ear immediately and I look forward to speaking with them and playing music from their latest LIFE IN BETWEEN.

Hope you can join us and remember, if you can't be there live, the shows are always archived at the link above or at MUSIC ON THE COUCH or by subscribing at my ITunes page.

12 Of Your Sparks

  1. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you get to feeling better in the morning. Too bad your bride is not there to help take care of you. Safe travels to Nancy!

As for my Peace Globe?'s non-existent right now. I have no inspiration as I'm still fully immersed in marching band competition season here. Oy. It will be a few more weeks. I will have a globe up, but it will be very lame.

  5. Get well soon young man.

Going dark in December is not an altogether bad idea. I'll have to think about that one for myself.

Yep, the Peace Globe is locked and loaded, including a new header photo that will appear for that day only...I think.

And my Rangers are starting to look like your Yankees. That's not a good thing right now.

  6. ...I don't like not having my Five on Friday, Mr. Man.....

  7. Jay Says:
  8. Hope you're feeling better dude.

I will probably go dark from Thanksgiving through the end of the year. Of course, as it is, I barely posting anyway, so why not?

  9. Maggie Moo Says:
  10. I hope you're feeling better today-though knowing how those types of things hold on, I suspect you still feel lousy. :( Hope I'm wrong.

I'm sorry you missed Halloween! Maybe you should just randomly dress up one day-that'll REALLY scare the poop out of people. ;)

KATHY: Who said I had NOT eaten candy! LOL

  15. Travis Cody Says:
  16. Last year I took December mostly off from blogging and it was great. I got a nice redirection of what I wanted to do with Trav's Thoughts.

Hang in there. I'll add my best wishes to all the rest for a speedy recovery!

  17. LAC Says:
  18. Hope you are feeling better. I sometimes think I need to go dark for awhile. Seems lately its all boring drivel I spit out to make sure there's a post once in awhile. I have been contemplating using writing prompts for more interesting posts. We'll see.

    Feel better.

  19. TRAVIS: That is exactly what i am thinking

LISA: Thanks...every day a little better...Not sure what will happen, but still considering
