Thursday Tidbits....

Sparks Of Insanity By Vinny "Bond" Marini Thursday, January 06, 2011

My friend John has a great site called Voices To Hear. On the site he introduces you to musicians who have a story and deserve accolades. He has a story up on Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon and her album, Om Namo Narayanaya: Soul Call. The album has been nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Contemporary World Music Album category, alongside musical greats like Béla Fleck, Bebel Gilberto, Angelique Kidjo, and Sergio Mendes.

Check out the article on Chandrika at John's Site, it is a very interesting story.

This coming Monday on Music On The Couch, I will sit with Ms. Holly Long, a wonderful musician and an even better human being and the band Ironwood Rain, who offer up some great acoustic rock music.

Hope you can join me..and if you can't download it anytime afterward and listen at your leisure.

So, looks like I might be home on Friday. Might tick off some people who didn't think I needed to be here 11 days to begin with, but that is what I was told from the people who do the planning...We shall see...

It is amazing how companies can change policies in mid-stream, even after a negotiated package was agreed upon years ago...OH well, we are just the little people...

3 Of Your Sparks

  1. ...adapt, overcome, improvise...

  3. Thanks for the link and the kind words, sir. You are too kind.

  4. Ooo-rah, my friend. Adapt, overcome, and improvise is right.

Things are what they are. Not everyone will be pleased 100% of the time, and not everything will go as planned.

Oh well. Smile, and move on.
