Travis lays out some guidelines for this meme and they go like this:

1. Grab the banner, make your post title Five on Friday, and be sure to link back here.

2. Go to to make your play list of five songs. Choose a particular theme to share with us. You can simply post the play list, or you can add a little summary about what you are sharing.

3. I don't know how to make a specific linky, so be sure to leave me a comment to let me know that you participated.

4. No tags, but feel free to invite your friends to play along if they need a post topic on a Friday.

Can you guess the theme of this weeks set?  Can you?  Can you?  I bet you can!

And since there was so much of it, there is even one extra...

1. Singing In The Rain - Gene Kelly - 'nuff said

2. Come Rain Or Come Shine - Billie Holiday - ummm, 'nuff said

3. Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall - Ink Spots with Ella Fitzgerald - I do love this version from an old 78rpm

4. Fire & Rain - James Taylor - This song is ubiquitous with memories of my teenage years.

5. Have You Ever Seen The Rain? - Creedence Clearwater Revival - A song that also surrounded the 70's.

6. Who'll Stop The Rain? - Creedence Clearwater Revival - Two songs about rain by CCR! Could not decide which to use, so all y'all get them both!

6 Of Your Sparks

  1. Unknown Says:
  2. As tasty as this collection is, sir, you know good and darn well that I would be the one to point out a missing tune by that insignificant little band called The Beatles...a very nice musical interlude nevertheless!

  3. Phfrankie: They did a song about rain? LOL

  4. Mike Golch Says:
  5. I see we copy catted each other with the two CCR songs.I enjoyed your settotally.

  6. Baby The Rain Must Fall particularly on Rainy Days and Mondays when you could be Singing In The Rain, but I won't let it Rain On My Parade then in a couple of days there will be no more April Showers but you can always let a Smile Be Your Umbrella.

  7. Travis Cody Says:
  8. LOL at Jamie!

I do enjoy some rain songs, but we can put a period on the rainy season any time now.

  9. Linda Says:
  10. All good choices but I think I'd rather see a set on "sun" at this point in time!
