Travis lays out some guidelines for this meme and they go like this:
1. Grab the banner, make your post title Five on Friday, and be sure to link back here.
2. Go to Playlist.com to make your play list of five songs. Choose a particular theme to share with us. You can simply post the play list, or you can add a little summary about what you are sharing.
3. I don't know how to make a specific linky, so be sure to leave me a comment to let me know that you participated.
4. No tags, but feel free to invite your friends to play along if they need a post topic on a Friday.
On Monday we had tornadoes go through Memphis and the surrounding area. At one point while I was sitting at my desk next to a wall of windows it was like I was standing behind a waterfall the water was coming down that hard...well, actually it was moving from left to right...actual horizontal rain! Niagara Falls amounts.
They made us go to the lower level to the "Severe Weather Gathering Point" and we waited ablut 20 minutes and then they let us go back up.
OOPS! have the floors had no power, internet or telephone. We were sent home at about 2pm.
The rest of the week...SUN! The temperatures are rising and the sun is shining...
So that is this week's theme. Songs with Sun, sunshine, sunrise, sunset...
Did you take my DOUBLE-DOG DARE and participate for the first time this week? Let us know!???
Hope you enjoy
HAVE A GRAND WEEKEND
"Here Comes the Sun" always reminds me of springtime in Indiana. Seeing the sun for the first time in months was always cause for celebration. :)
nobody, I mean NOBODY sounds like Donovan.
A true original.
Sunny and warm here this weekend apparently. That makes me happy. Always nice to sit at home watching the Masters knowing that it's sunny out there. ha!
Sunset Grill always reminds me of Los Angeles haunts from my teen years.
When I first read the title of this post I got excited because I thought it was going to be a list of awesomeness recorded at Sun Studio. Oh well. It's still a great list!
Oh - and I would totally add Norah Jones' Sunrise (http://youtu.be/ss3148ZXwuc) - but she's my pretend girlfriend!
This Set was a great omen for me because we had sunshine all day!
I really enjoyed the old-timey tunes this week - The World is Waiting For the Sun and Sunrise Serenade. But Sunshine Superman was my favorite!
I might have slid a sixth song into the set...The Eagles, "Tequila Sunrise". Great songs though, really nice set.
here comes the sun is one of my most favorite songs - always makes me feel happy
