Travis lays out some guidelines for this meme and they go like this:

1. Grab the banner, make your post title Five on Friday, and be sure to link back here.

2. Go to to make your play list of five songs. Choose a particular theme to share with us. You can simply post the play list, or you can add a little summary about what you are sharing.

3. I don't know how to make a specific linky, so be sure to leave me a comment to let me know that you participated.

4. No tags, but feel free to invite your friends to play along if they need a post topic on a Friday.

This week I received the newest album by Hot Tuna - Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Cassidy - to review for American Blues News. I have been a huge fan since they began Hot Tuna as a side project to Jefferson Airplane in 1969.

They have had both acoustic and electric versions of the band and at one time the wonderful Papa John Creach played electric violin with them.

There are some better examples of their music, but this is what I could find on

I was at the Blues Music Awards last night and then the after parties, so I am probably still asleep today until I have to wake and head back downtown for two band showcases.
