By the time I made it to the west coast and met up with the likes of Phfrankie Bondo, those tickets were $4.00 at Winterland and the Filmore had just closed. Still one of the most intense concerts I've been to, was at the Cow Palace to see Loggins and Messina...un-fricken-believable show!

...I was born in San Francisco and raised just down the peninsula, back in the day. Believe it or not, the ticket price for three-act shows at Winterland or the Filmore was $3.00!!! (the Cow Palace was rarely used)...and Bill would always mix up the acts, throwing in, say, Buddy Rich on the same bill with Quicksilver Messenger Service and Electric Flag...Ihave been a member of Wolfgang's Vault for some time now...love it!...you don't have to love Bill Graham, but you sure as hell have to thank him!...

Having grown up in the bay area of northern Calif. I remember Bill Graham quite well. Never had any personal interaction with him, but did see a handful of shows he was responsible for promoting.
